Areas of Research

My research interests are notably diverse, spanning multiple critical areas in mental health and well-being.

My core focus centers on Non-Suicidal Self-Injury, the long-term impact of early childhood adversity and its relationship to psychological mechanisms like low distress tolerance and emotion regulation deficits. Building on my work in personality and identity, I aim to develop predictive models linking these early experiences and some personality patterns that leads to vulnerability for NSSI, mental health difficulties, and substance use in young adulthood.

Beyond this, I am deeply committed to the well-being of the senior population. My work with organizations and my research on neurodegenerative diseases like Parkinson’s highlights my passion for developing accessible and innovative care strategies. A unifying theme across all my interests is the use of digital mental health interventions to overcome health disparities and bridge care gaps, ensuring evidence-based support reaches diverse and vulnerable populations.
